Workshop: Active Learning for Critical Thinking About AI

Workshop: Active Learning for Critical Thinking About AI

This workshop is conducted in: English

This is a new workshop in our AI literacy series.
You do not need to have attended the previous workshop to participate.

We invite participants without technical backgrounds who are curious about AI and want to feel more confident questioning and understanding it in everyday life.

This session focuses on active learning — meaning you will not just listen, but participate in discussions and small exercises together with others. If you prefer speak Norwegian, you may be placed in a Norwegian-speaking group for the group exercises.

What is this workshop about?

AI influences what we read, watch, apply for, and interact with. But:

  • How do we know what to trust?
  • Where do AI systems get their information from?
  • How can we question and reflect on AI outputs?
  • How can we tell what is human-made and what is AI-generated?

In this workshop, we will explore these questions together through interactive group activities and real-life examples.

Agenda

During the workshop, we will:

  • Welcome you and collect consent forms and a short questionnaire
  • Give a short introduction to AI
  • Work in small groups with guided discussion and practical exercises
  • Share reflections and complete a short follow-up questionnaire

No preparation or technical knowledge is required.

Why join?

By participating, you will:
Strengthen your ability to question and reflect on AI
Gain tools to better evaluate AI-generated content
Contribute to shaping how AI learning should be designed
Be part of a supportive and engaging discussion

Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be served.
